Open a fixed term deposit in a local bank for minimum

of $750,000.00.

Investments must be maintained for a minimum of 5 years.

The investor can obtain the Panamanian permanent residence approval in 30 days without leaving their country of origin.

REQUIREMENTS

PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMIT AS A QUALIFIED INVESTOR

✓ A copy of the Power of Attorney, addressed to the National Immigration Service.

✓  A request addressed to the National Direction for the Promotion of Investments.

✓Copies of the general passports of the investor and their dependents (if applicable).

✓ An investment of $500,000.00 free of encumbrances; until October 16th, 2022, the amount may be $300,000.00.

✓ A certification from the Public Registry of Panama which certifies the ownership.

✓ A certification from the National Land Titling Authority which certifies the value of the real estate.

✓ An investment of $500,000.00 made by means of a trust deposit managed by a local bank or trust company; until October 16th, 2022 the amount may be $300,000.00.

✓ An authenticated copy of the promise of purchase and sale contract(s) of the real estate(s) duly registered in the Public Registry.

✓ To provide the original or authenticated copy of the trust contract in which it must be established that the entire amount given in trust shall be disbursed in partial payments related to the payment of the obligations assumed by the settlor as a result of the promise of purchase and sale entered into with the real estate company.

✓ A minimum investment of $500,000.00, which must be in securities of issuers, whose business has an incidence in the national territory, by means of the Panama Stock Exchange.

✓ A certification issued by a Securities Brokerage Firm with a license approved by the Superintendence of the Securities Market of Panama, indicating the name of the investor, the amount of the investment, the detail of the securities maintained, as well as the entity that has the custody of the securities.

✓ An authenticated copy of the resolution that grants the entity a Securities Brokerage Firm license, issued by the Superintendence of the Securities Market of Panama, and in which the applicant’s investment account is maintained.

✓ A certification issued by the Superintendence of the Securities Market of Panama in relation to the registration of the securities corresponding to said investment.

✓ A minimum investment of $750,000.00 free of encumbrances. The deposit must be for a minimum term of validity of five (5) years.

✓ An authenticated copy by the issuing bank of the fixed-term deposit certificate, providing its holder, the value, and the term of the document.

✓  A certification from the bank certifying the existence of the deposit, its holder, value, term, as well as indicating that it is free of encumbrances and that the funds come from a foreign source.

✓ A letter from a foreign or local bank, which certifies the remittance of funds. If the document is issued abroad, it must be legalized by a Panamanian consulate or by an Apostille. Valid for three (3) months or as indicated by the issuer.

✓ A foreign bank statement, duly stamped and legalized. Valid for three (3) months or as indicated by the issuer.

✓  A notarized letter issued by the recipient of the funds, or an original bank certification which confirms the deposit or transfer and that the funds come from a foreign source. Valid for three (3) months or as indicated by the issuer.

✓ Power of attorney granted by the interested party (notarized). Request from the legal representative.

✓ Three (3) passport size photographs.

✓ A copy of the passport duly verified (Notary or corresponding Authority).

✓ Certificate of Criminal Record. Valid for six (6) months or as specified by the issuer.

Health Certificate. Valid for three (3) months or as specified by the issuer.

✓ Personal Background Affidavit Form.

✓ Payment to the National Treasury for US$ 5,000.00.

✓ Payment to the National Immigration Service for US$ 5,000.00.

✓ Certification issued by the National Directorate for the Promotion of Investments.

✓ Power of Attorney and Joint Application to the principal, the dependent who is of legal age.

✓ A certificate that proves the relationship: marriage or birth (authenticated and translated).

✓ A notarized Letter of Responsibility.

✓ A letter of authorization in the event of only one parent applying.

✓ Payment to the National Treasury for US$ 1,000.00 (for each dependent).

✓  Payment to the National Immigration Service for US$ 1,000.00 (for each dependent).

✓ For children over 18 years of age, but under 25 years of age must provide:

• A certificate from the center of studies that certifies the condition of a full-time student and regular form.

• Single Status Affidavit before a Panamanian Notary Public.
